McMaster Children’s Hospital

The Centre for Child and Youth Digestive Health is part of the April, 2011 transformation of McMaster University Medical Centre (MUMC) into a Women and Children’s Hospital/Adult GI Centre. This change which gives our patients access to highly specialized GI specific facilities.



Dr. Mary Zachos has been appointed as Clinical Associate Professor at McMaster University. Dr. Zachos who trained at the University of Toronto has worked in McMaster Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic for the past three years after 10 years as a staff physician at the Hospital for Sick Children.

Kids Dig Health Program

The KIDS DIG HEALTH PROGRAM is a research and education program for children and youth and their families and the Professionals that care for them.  KIDS DIG HEALTHoffers timely information and education about nutrition, healthy active living and chronic GI diseases. Terry and  Sharon Doyle organized a Canada Day street party in Oakville on behalf of son Brendon which raised $1500 for the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation  Pediatric Digestive Disease Fund
